Ryan Smith

Ryan is currently the Assistant Coach of the Medicine Hat Tigers in the Western Hockey League.

Ryan spent the past 3 season as the Associate Coach of the Western Hockey League Champion Swift Current Broncos.

Previous to that he was the Head Coach & G.M of the Humboldt Broncos – SJHL (1 year) Selkirk Steelers – MJHL (5 years). He is a two time MJHL All-Star Head Coach and last year; Ryan was honoured with being named the MJHL Coach of the Year as he led the Steelers to a 1st overall placing in Manitoba and 2nd overall regular season ranking in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.  For these efforts, Ryan was also a runner up for the CJHL Coach of the Year.

In 2012 & 13 he was the Assistant Coach for Team West in the World Jr A Challenge. and captained the Southeast Prairie Thunder, the 2012 Allan Cup Champions. He played for the St James Canadians and the University of Manitoba Bisons before moving on to a 11 year pro career in Europe.  Ryan is entering his 11th year with Shoot to Score Hockey as a Lead Instructor.
